Digital Marketing Coordinator


The website-focused Digital Marketing Coordinator, has the unique and exciting opportunity to develop creative solutions across our digital strategy and bring the Petcurean brand to life online! They really shine through their strong project management skills, and attention to detail that help to manage an efficient and effective digital ecosystem for the Petcurean brands; HTML Coding Experience is also an asset. Continuously focused on the success of the Digital Marketing strategy, the coordinator will work closely with website development partners, support agencies, the Digital Marketing Manager and the entire Marketing team to ensure deadlines are consistently achieved. 

This position will report to the Digital Marketing Manager and will be based at our head office in Chilliwack, BC.



On a day-to-day basis, the Digital Marketing Coordinator will pro-actively be responsible for:

Website Management

  • Overseeing website development projects with agency partners, from briefing to completion including new product additions, landing page development, copy updates, micro-sites and campaigns support
  • Working with agency partners to provide regular maintenance and oversight to all North American and international websites
  • Working with the Digital Marketing Manager to lead website re-development project that optimizes towards key customer journeys and re-builds core site components and structure
  • Implementation of website re-development components to all International websites
  • Working with the Digital Marketing team to analyze metrics and identify key opportunities to optimize the user experience and fine-tune each website to generate user engagement
  • Working with internal teams including but not limited to; Production and Export, to organize and manage website copy decks for all North American and International sites and ensure all technical and product-level changes are executed across the appropriate websites.
  • Providing digital marketing support to internal teams, and global distributor partners
  • Managing updates to the Store Locator and ensuring data accuracy within CRM and other internal systems
  • Project lead for the development of new international market websites, managing translation requirements, coordinating 3rd party agencies and leading comprehensive QA website testing
  • Implementation of SEO strategy within each website to ensure strong search presence for digital executions
  • Ensuring general optimization and maintenance of all websites to provide healthy web infrastructure and organized CMS functionality
  • Curation and editing of blog content from internal and external writers
  • Overseeing and monitoring the digital brand standards across all channels to ensure a consistent brand presence

Creative Support

  • Using HTML coding experience to assist in the development of email assets and website assets
  • Copy editing and providing creative writing support to the content strategy
  • Assisting in the content strategy execution across websites and social media
  • Assisting in the sourcing of Paid Media campaign assets

General Marketing Support

  • Provides reports and analysis on specific digital executions for marketing team members as required
  • Social media support and coverage on an as needed basis

Other duties as requested within the same level and scope



  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing/Advertising
  • 2+ years' Digital Marketing experience

Technical Fluency

  • Proficient in MS Office and Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, InDesign etc.).
  • Strong working knowledge of Wordpress/Drupal or equivalent CMS platform
  • 1-2 years coding experience working with HTML, Java, CSS or equivalent
  • Proven experience with Google Analytics to pull reports, analyze data and setup custom reporting as required; certification in Google Analytics or Google AdWords is considered an asset
  • Knowledge and experience using Mailchimp or similar email marketing tool
  • Experience with managing marketing automation tools


Interpersonal Qualifications

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to translate technical information to a non-technical audience
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills; likes to manage multiple tasks at once the faster the pace the better
  • Keeping up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in digital marketing
  • Fluent in a second language is considered an asset (Spanish or French is preferred)
  • Copywriting and editorial experience is considered an asset


Hours of Work

This is a full-time position with regular office hours from Monday to Friday.  However, the nature of this position is such that some additional time with notice may be required and there is a possibility of work on weekends or during the evenings. Some travel may be required.
